The Asian Pacific American Alliance of Rhode Island, or APAARI, has REPLACED the AAC initiative membership.

Our mission is to empower Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Rhode Island by informing their rights and equal opportunity as American residents in the areas of education, housing, health, economic and business development, as well as encouraging them to take part in the legislative process of Rhode Island and of the United States to more effectively represent the interests of the AAPI communities. We are a non-political and non-partisan organization. We advocate for the rights of the people of AAPI descent and help to make them visible.
Collectively, we will gather at least once a year to give our collective voices to the RI State legislature about our concerns and needs so that the RI legislatures can be better informed and include our voices as they put together the policies and services for the State. Furthermore, it is the APAARI’s goal to raise up future leaders by informing new immigrants of the American democratic process and helping them to participate in it because democracy only works when its citizens are well informed and educated about its process.
