Rachel Kim

Rachel is a Korean-American born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She currently is a rising junior at Brown University majoring in International and Public Affairs (on the Policy & Governance track) and Computer Science. She has also taken extensive coursework in English, Political Science, Economics, and Sociology, and her research interests primarily lie in women’s issues and education. At Brown, she’s involved with the Global Research and Consulting Group as a Project Lead and the Brown Initiative for Policy as a Research Analyst. In the past, she has worked in political organizing and campaigning, journalism, teaching, and research in educational policy and mass incarceration. Her hobbies include singing, reading, travelling, and listening to music. Rachel is incredibly excited to work with Cultural Society as an Administrative Intern and a Brown Liaison to build Asian and Asian American community in the Providence area and to create opportunities that will foster cultural learning and understanding.
